YIPA SOCIAL (22 Nov)
On the 22 November 2018, YIPA hosted its final event for the 2018 year! The YIPA SOCIAL was a networking and learning event for young property professionals! The event was sponsored by the National Department of Public Works, Delta Property Fund, TKDS Architects and Perch Co-working offices!
YIPA jhb job shadow programme (4 & 5 oct)
For the first time, YIPA hosted a Job Shadow programme in Johannesburg in partnership with the Bophelo Impilo High School! 12 Matric students were given an opportunity to shadow property professionals at Investec Property, Izandla Property, Investec Property Risk, Investec Property Finance, Billion Group and Respublica Student Accomodation!
Africa Property Investment Summit & Expo (20 & 21 sep)
YIPA had a delegation of 6 members, led by JHB-Head and YIPA Director Priscilla Nthai, attend the Africa Property Investment Summit at the Sandton Convention Centre.

Property 360: Entire industry must work from the bottom up to transform
What is needed is for the industry to work from “the bottom up” and expose high school pupils to it when they are considering their career or tertiary education options. YIPA has teamed up with the Western Cape Property Development Forum to provide underprivileged pupils with the opportunity to shadow Cape Town property professionals.
YIPA job-shadow programme in partnership with WCPDF (MAY)
In partnership with the Western Cape Property Development Forum and UCT100UP, YIPA hosted a Job-shadow programme for Grade 12 students from the Khayelithsa township. This exposed the learners to various careers within the fiields of property and construction.
YIPA Cape Town job shadow programme (3 & 4 Oct)
In partnership with the Western Cape Proprety Development Forum and UCT 100 UP, YIPA hosted a second Job Shadow programme for 26 Matric pupils! The students were given an opportunity to shadow property professionals at Aria Property Group, Redefine Property, Spear REIT, Old Mutual Property, Eris Property Group, DHK Architects, Rabie Property, Prodigious, Alwyn Laubscher & Associates!

YIPA Job Shadow Program (2 & 3 Oct)
On 2nd & 3rd of October, 12 lucky grade 11 pupils from various schools in Khayelithsa who form part of the UCT 100 Up Programme, were given the opportunity to attend the FIRST YIPA Job Shadow programme. The students were exposed to property corporate and given the opportunity to Job Shadow some of the most influential people in the industry for 2 days.
Johannesburg Property Buyer Show (27 to 29 Oct)
The Property Buyers Show was an exciting three day event (27th – 29th October 2017) that was ideal for a first time property buyer. YIPA would like the thank Spintelligent & Property Buyer Show for the opportunity to be a part of the event and play an active role.
Youth for wealth creation (9 oct)
On the 9th of October, YIPA in partnership with InvestSoc UCT hosted an educational wealth creation event sponsored by Wealth Migrate and the SA REIT Association. CEO of Equites Property Fund, Andreas Turisan, shared some valuable insights on the property industry and investing.
