Property 360: Entire industry must work from the bottom up to transform
What is needed is for the industry to work from “the bottom up” and expose high school pupils to it when they are considering their career or tertiary education options. YIPA has teamed up with the Western Cape Property Development Forum to provide underprivileged pupils with the opportunity to shadow Cape Town property professionals.
YIPA job-shadow programme in partnership with WCPDF (MAY)
In partnership with the Western Cape Property Development Forum and UCT100UP, YIPA hosted a Job-shadow programme for Grade 12 students from the Khayelithsa township. This exposed the learners to various careers within the fiields of property and construction.

YIPA Job Shadow Program (2 & 3 Oct)
On 2nd & 3rd of October, 12 lucky grade 11 pupils from various schools in Khayelithsa who form part of the UCT 100 Up Programme, were given the opportunity to attend the FIRST YIPA Job Shadow programme. The students were exposed to property corporate and given the opportunity to Job Shadow some of the most influential people in the industry for 2 days.
