Monedi is the Chairman of YIPA. He has served term as the Vice-Chairman of UCT InvestSoc (Investment Society), the largest student executive society in South Africa, and the International Finance Students Association (IFSA) – South Africa, an international society with partnerships at Harvard, Oxford and many other universities across the world. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Engineering) in Property Studies and recently completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Property Studies. He is currently a Property Investment Graduate at Investec Asset Management and an Executive Director at Luyanda & Co., a property development company developing social housing units.




Steven is the Vice-Chairman of YIPA. He recently completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics & Finance and CFA Level 1. He is currently pursuing an Honours degree specializing in Finance from the University of Cape Town. Beyond studying and YIPA, he organises and manages a successful varsity soccer league in Cape Town and owns an audio equipment rental company. He has a strong focus on the importance of relationships in business and believes that businesses of the future must aim to solve a problem.






Khensani is a Director at YIPA. She holds degree in Bachelors in Architecture (BAS) from the University of Cape Town. She sees architecture and planning as tools for socio-spatial justice. She is currently undertaking postgraduate studies in City and Regional Planning (Hons) at the University of Cape Town and concurrently a research fellow at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zürich, Switzerland. She is based and working at Urban-Think Tank in Zürich, renowned for its focus on social urbanism and interdisciplinary approach to design and research. She focuses predominantly on writing and has recently published a piece in TU Delft’s Atlantis Polis Magazine (Oct 2017). 




Imran is the Director of Fundraising and Enterprise Development of YIPA. He has graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences (Engineering) in Property Studies from UCT at Honours level. He is also a creative director, consultant and stylist in the fashion industry, and is currently pursuing part time studies in fashion design. These very different industries provide a well-rounded, creative outlook in entrepreneurship. During his UCT tenure, Imran was also a member of UCT InvestSoc (Investment Society) as well as UCT Upstarts – a project started by the Vice Chancellor of UCT in 2016 to promote social innovation and entrepreneurship.




Priscilla is the Gauteng Head and a Director of YIPA. She holds a BA in Media, Psychology and Economics, BSc in Property Studies and BSc (Honours) in Property Studies. All three degrees were acquired at the University of Cape Town between 2010 and 2016. She is also the Secretary General of the New Era Property Investment (NEPI) company which is a fully black owned and managed company, with a sole mandate to invest and develop property in South Africa and the world in the future. Currently Priscilla works for a global property company based in Rosebank, Johannesburg and is acquiring her qualification with the Royal Institution of Charted Surveyors through the company.




Itumeleng is the Treasurer of YIPA. She has various experience in the property sector including FM and Financial User Experience Research & Consulting in Bookkeeping Software Product Solutions. She served a term as Public Relations Director & Brand Manager for The Investment Society & was the recipient of the Fuller Hall Jubilee Award. Itumeleng completed an undergraduate Degree in Economics & Finance as well as an Honors Degree in Financial Analysis & Portfolio Management at the University of Cape Town. Itumeleng is intrigued by the evolution of people focused designs in information systems and how ordinary people can be empowered and helped to work with such systems and understand the metrics and analytics in the context of their day-to-day lives.
